Kyren Gumbs

Kyren Gumbs is a board member of Neighbourhoods Without Borders (NWB). He hails from the Lawrence and Galloway community and he knows first hand what the cycle of violence and poverty can do to a community filled with kids and young adults.  As a teen, Kyren lived the typical life like most teens growing up in a Scarborough neighborhood and his life was heading in the wrong direction until an older acquaintance persuaded him to finish school.

Kyren holds a Commerce degree (H.B.Com) from Laurentian University and works within the financial industry as a Branch Manager (Compliance officer)  and for the past several years he has been using his life experiences to motivate and encourage Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) to pursue education and gain financial literacy.
